First-time registrations prior to the general registration period

First-time early registration is only possible if your visa D expires before registration opens. Please note that also in case of early registration a confirmation for the ÖGK needed for student health insurance can only be issued after the general registration period opens. Early registration is possible only after admission opens at the universities (beginning of January for the summer semester, mid-July for the winter semester).

First-time registrations after the general registration period

First-time registration after the general registration period is only possible for students who were issued their visa D or admission letter after registration closed. After the end of the general registration period there is no guarantee for a course place. If there are any remaining course places, they will be allocated.
