Information regarding course registration in summer semester 2025
- First-time registration:
- Online pre-registration:
- Dec 9th to Dec 12th, 2024 (if you already have an admission letter and you can be in Vienna on Jan 7th, 2025 at the latest)
- Jan 8th to Jan 20th, 2025 (in all other cases)
- German placement tests (after successful online pre-registration):
- Appointments are assigned by the VWU, students CANNOT choose the date of the test!
- Jan 8th to Jan 10th, 2025 (for online pre-registrations in December and possibly from Jan 20th, 2025)
- Jan 20th to Jan 24th, 2025 (for online pre-registrations in January)
- Online pre-registration:
- Course registration for continuing students (online): Jan 16th to Jan 24th, 2025
- Changing students from dB / SZUW (course level FG/WF with several supplementary examinations, online): For further information please visit this website (group B)
- Requests for 5th and 6th semesters (in person!): Jan 13th to Jan 24th, 2025
- Informative meeting (only for new students at the VWU in Sechshauser Straße): Feb 20th 2024
- Course start (only for students at the VWU in Sechshauser Straße): Feb 21st 2025 (first course day online)
Supplementary examinations
- Registration for exams in November 2024: October 12th to October 25th (12.00 noon, CEST) 2024, online
- PLEASE NOTE: This supplementary exam takes place after the universities' admission period has ended. It is therefore not possible to start yor regular degree programme at the university in the winter semester of 2024 if you choose this exam date! We recommend not to complete the preparation programme (your last supplementary exam) at this exam date. You will be deregistered from your university on the day of your last supplementary examination. You will then no longer be registered as a non-degree programme student for the winter semester 2024 and will not receive any confirmations for the winter semester 2024. Should you attend a course, a pro-rata refund of the course fee will be not possible!
