Information regarding course registration for the summer semester 2025
- First-time registration:
- Online pre-registration:
- December 9 to December 12, 2024, 12:00 pm (if you already have an admission letter and you can be in Vienna on January 7, 2025 at the latest)
- January 8 to January 22, 2025, 12:00 pm (in all other cases)

- German placement tests (after successful online pre-registration):
- Appointments are assigned by the VWU, students CANNOT choose the date of the test!
- January 8 to January 10, 2025 (for online pre-registrations in December)
- January 20 to January 24, 2025 (for online pre-registrations in January)
- Online pre-registration:
- Course registration for continuing students (online): January 16 to January 24, 2025
- Changing students from dB / SZUW (course level FG/WF with several supplementary examinations, online): For further information please visit this website (group b)
- Requests for 5th and 6th semesters (in person!): January 13 to January 23, 2025
- Informative meeting (only for new students at VWU in Sechshauser Straße): February 20, 2025 (in person), in the afternoon
- Course start (only for students at VWU in Sechshauser Straße): February 21, 2025 (first course day is online)
Supplementary examinations
- Registration for supplementary examinations in March 2025: February 15 to February 28 (12.00 noon, CET) 2025, online
- Issue of certificates: March 28, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the office (or afterwards during opening hours in the office). Please note that you have to show your photo ID.
